FA Head Glue 6711

FA head glue refers to the special glue used to fix the optical fiber and V-groove (silicon V-groove) or MT ferrule during FA (Fiber Array) processing.

Description

FA adhesive is a specialized adhesive used to secure optical fibers to V-grooves (silicon V-grooves) or MT ferrules during FA (Fiber Array) fabrication.

Function of FA Adhesive

Fiber Securing: Securely bonds optical fibers to V-grooves or MT ferrules, maintaining high-precision alignment.

Optical Performance: Low shrinkage and low stress prevent misalignment that increases insertion loss.

Reliability: Requires long-term operational stability and resistance to heat, humidity, and aging.

Key Features of FA Adhesive

Low Shrinkage: Shrinkage can cause optical fiber axis misalignment, affecting coupling efficiency.

Low Stress: Prevents bending or positional shifts in the fiber after curing.

Transparency: When light curing is required, the adhesive must exhibit high light transmittance (365nm/405nm bands).

High Temperature and Humidity Resistance: Typically requires passing Telcordia GR-1221/GR-1209 testing.

Moderate bond strength: Strong yet not brittle to prevent cracking during thermal cycling.

Type 6711 adhesive has been put into production. Please contact us by email or phone for technical details regarding differences with Type 6721 and Type 6731 adhesives.
