FA Tail Glue 9611
FA tail glue is used to fill, reinforce, and protect the tail end of the array (fiber pigtail end) to ensure reliability.
Description
FA tail glue is used to fill, reinforce, and protect the tail end of the array (fiber pigtail end) to ensure reliability.
Functions of FA tail Glue
Fiber Bundle Fixation: Secures multiple fibers extending from the V-groove end to prevent loosening under strain.
Strain Buffering: Reduces the direct transmission of external forces to the precision alignment area at the front end, reducing the risk of insertion loss drift.
Environmental Protection: Prevents moisture and dust from entering the V-groove area while improving temperature and humidity resistance.
Mechanical Strength: Enhances the pigtail’s tensile strength and flex life, improving product reliability.
Key Characteristics of tail Glue
Good Flowability: Allows for complete filling of gaps between fibers at the tail end.
Low Shrinkage: Prevents strain on the fibers during curing, which could cause optical performance drift at the end face.
Moderate Flexibility: Softer than header glue, providing stress buffering.
Environmental Resistance: Requires compliance with high and low temperature cycling and 85°C/85%RH humidity and heat aging tests.
